It was 2017, but it seems like just yesterday that my client and friend Alessandro Francoli, President of Francoli Ghemme Distillery, was telling me about having seen a program that spoke about a skull that was likely to be Plliny the Elder's.
When Alessandro told me, "I would like to fun the research but I don't think I can do it on my own," I immediately responded, "Put in what you can, and I'll put in the rest".
These last few days the results have been in all of the newspapers and the head of the research team, Dr Andrea Cionci did an extraordinary job in confirming a long standing superstition.
I am so pleased to have been able to contribute to such important historical research and to have been able to assist in restoring Pliny the Elder's dignity and honour.
